The Customer

Coster Group, founded in 1963 in Italy, is a multinational provider of spray packaging solutions and aerosol filling equipment. It addresses all segments of the market with a complete range of aerosol valves and actuators, spray pumps, dispensers, and anodizing solutions 

The Challenge

Coster Group relied on a traditional APS that failed to maintain appropriate stock and service levels, resulting in cost pressures, waste, and a delayed response to customer demand. Moreover, this system used static data and periodic updates, missing real-time changes in demand, supply, and market conditions. 

The Solution

Starting with a pilot phase (PoC), we implemented SAP S/4HANA Manufacturing for Planning and Scheduling in the assembly department of the Coster 2 plant in Calceranica, Trento (Italy), within 6 months. The new tool coexisted with the old APS for two months to verify data alignment. The implementation expanded to include molding and a full rollout across other plants in Italy and Spain.  

SAP S/4HANA Manufacturing for Planning and Scheduling was chosen as the best solution to meet our customers' needs and was seamlessly integrated into the existing environment, where the client already used SAP S/4HANA as their ERP system. We provide the Coster scheduling team with training on processes and software during each go-live.
